Roselle Actually Has a Downtown. That Changes the Concrete Picture.

Roselle is different from most of the towns we work in because it has a real downtown. A Metra station, old storefronts along Main Street, houses dating to the late 1800s standing a block from modest ranches built ninety years later. That historic layer changes what a concrete job looks like. In most NW suburbs, every slab on a given property is within a twenty-year age window. In Roselle you can find a turn-of-the-century front walk in the downtown area, a 1980s driveway off to the side, and a fresh 2010s addition out back — all on the same lot.

The blocks around downtown and the Metra station have some of the oldest residential concrete anywhere in our service area — 1920s and 1930s bungalow-era front walks that are still holding together well past their design life.
