We're Schaumburg Concrete Construction — a locally owned crew pouring driveways, patios, foundations, sidewalks, and stamped concrete across Schaumburg and the surrounding Northwest Chicago suburbs. Every job starts with a real conversation about your property, not a canned quote. Every job ends with concrete that's built to outlast Illinois winters.
No subcontractors. No hand-offs. No surprises on the invoice. Just crews who've poured through 20+ Chicagoland seasons and know how to make residential concrete last two decades instead of seven years. Schaumburg has been our base since day one — we know the village code, the soils around Woodfield, and the contractors you should call after us for landscaping and electrical.
Five core services, all done in-house by our own crews. Click any service for details, typical pricing notes, and FAQs.

You call or submit the form. We come out within 48 hours, walk the project, measure, and talk through options. You get a written estimate, not a napkin number. If the job isn't right for us, we tell you that too.
Before we break ground, you have a written scope with thickness, rebar size, mix spec, drainage plan, and a pour date. Everything in plain language. No "we'll figure it out on the day."
Our crew pours your concrete, finishes it to the texture and color you chose, and cleans the site before leaving. We come back to check cure at 48 hours and again at 7 days. Your neighbors will think we were never there.
Real reviews from homeowners we've poured for across the NW Chicago suburbs.
They tore out our 30-year-old driveway and had the new one poured in two days. Showed up when they said they would, cleaned up before they left, and the finished slab looks great. Already recommended them to two neighbors.
Schaumburg, IL
We went with a stamped patio in an ashlar slate pattern. The crew walked us through color options and helped us pick something that worked with our siding. It turned out better than the photo we showed them. Very happy.
Hoffman Estates, IL
Used them for the sidewalk and loading apron at our warehouse. Fair price, no surprise charges, and the work has held up through two full winters of truck traffic. We'll use them again when we expand the lot.
Elk Grove Village, IL
The boring technical details that separate concrete that lasts 25 years from concrete that scales in 7.
Mix: 4,000 psi, air-entrained (6–7% air), slump 4–5 inches. Reinforcement: #4 rebar on 12-inch centers for driveways and patios; #3 wire mesh for sidewalks. Subgrade: 4 inches of CA-6 compacted to 95%. Joint spacing: no more than 2 to 2.5 times the slab thickness in feet. Curing: moisture-retained or curing compound applied within 45 minutes of finish. Those numbers don't come up on every estimate call, but every slab we pour hits them.
What actually makes concrete last a generation instead of a decade.
Illinois residential code lets you get away with 4 inches and no rebar on a driveway. That's not how we pour. Our standard spec is 6 inches, #4 rebar on 12-inch centers, 4,000-psi air-entrained mix, and a proper control-joint layout. It costs a little more up front. It costs a lot less over twenty years.
Our crew pours your driveway. Same guys, same truck, same supervisor. If something needs a fix years later, you call us, not a phone tree. Locally owned means you get the owner on the phone, and the owner still pours concrete most days of the week.
Weather moves schedules. Within that, we hold to dates. If we're pouring your patio Thursday, we are pouring your patio Thursday. If the forecast changes, you hear from us before lunch — not from your neighbor watching an empty driveway.
Illinois concrete takes a beating. Freeze-thaw cycles, deicing salt thrown onto fresh apron joints, clay subsoils that swell and shrink with the seasons — they all attack residential concrete the same way. Water finds a surface flaw, freezes, expands, and opens the flaw further. Without proper air entrainment, control jointing, and subgrade prep, a driveway can scale within five years. With all three done right, it pours once and holds for two and a half decades. That's the math behind every number we quote.
If your driveway is cracking, your patio is tired, or your addition needs a foundation, we're the crew around the corner — not three hours away.

Tear-out and repour of a typical suburban driveway is 1–2 days of active work plus cure time. Day one is demo and forming. Day two is the pour. You'll stay off it with foot traffic for 24 hours and vehicles for 7 days — that cure time is non-negotiable. It's how you get the strength you paid for.
Late April through October is the easy window. Concrete cures best when overnight lows stay above 40°F. We pour in shoulder seasons with hot-water mix and cure blankets when needed, but we won't pour under 25°F no matter how badly a job is wanted. Bad pour conditions make bad concrete — we don't do either.
Yes — licensed, bonded, and carrying full general liability. We're happy to send proof of insurance before a job starts, and we pull permits wherever the village requires them. It's part of the price, not a bolt-on.
